Overview
This scheme from the Ministry of Labour & Employment gives money to the children (wards) of workers in four sectors: Beedi rolling; Cine (film) work; Iron Ore, Manganese Ore & Chrome Ore Mines (IOMC); and Limestone & Dolomite Mines (LSDM), including Mica mines. The Post-Matric part helps students studying in Class 11 and above.
To be eligible, one of your parents must be a Beedi / Cine / Mine worker with at least six months of service (contract and home-based "Gharkhata" workers count too). The family's monthly income must stay within the limit — Rs. 10,000 for Beedi and mine workers, and Rs. 8,000 for Cine workers. You must have passed your last qualifying exam in the first attempt (students simply promoted to the next class can also apply), study full-time (correspondence courses are not allowed) at a Government or Government-recognised institute, and not receive any other scholarship.
How much you get depends on your course, per year: Class 11–12 — ₹3,000; ITI or Polytechnic — ₹6,000; Degree courses — ₹6,000; Professional courses — ₹25,000. The money is paid straight to your bank account through DBT.
You apply online on the National Scholarship Portal (scholarships.gov.in). Keep ready: a photo, your parent's worker ID card, your bank passbook front page or cancelled cheque, last year's mark sheet, and an income certificate from the Revenue Authority. How you're selected
Eligibility-based (not merit-ranked). Students apply on the National Scholarship Portal; the application is verified by the institute and Labour Welfare (DNO/SNO/MNO) authorities, and the scholarship is sanctioned to eligible students and paid via DBT. Scholarship can be cancelled for false statements, discontinuing studies, unapproved change of course/institute, poor attendance/progress, or if the parent ceases to be a Beedi/Mine/Cine worker.

Can I get it every year? The scheme runs each academic year, and students promoted to the next class are eligible to apply again. You must reapply and meet the eligibility rules each year. You cannot also take a scholarship from any other source.
