The ICAR National Talent Scholarship (NTS-UG) is a merit-based scholarship from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education. It is meant for students doing a Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree at an Agricultural University that is outside their home state (non-domicile).
To be eligible, you must have taken admission through CUET (ICAR-UG) under ICAR's All India Quota (AIQ) seats in an Agricultural University located outside your state of domicile. Students admitted to State Agricultural Universities through the university's own entrance test are not eligible — only CUET (ICAR-UG) AIQ admissions count.
What you get: ₹3,000 per month for the entire duration of the degree programme, subject to a minimum qualifying CGPA.
Continuation: The scholarship continues each year based on good conduct, punctuality, and marks — a minimum OGPA/CGPA of 7.00 out of 10.00 (6.50 out of 10.00 for SC/ST students).
How to apply: There is no separate selection application — candidates admitted through CUET (ICAR-UG) under AIQ seats are automatically eligible. The scholarship is processed on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), where the student registers and completes verification. An award letter issued by ICAR may be needed as a document.
