Overview
The Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship (MAITS) is run by the K. C. Mahindra Education Trust. It started in 1995. The scholarship is for students from economically disadvantaged families who want to do a job-oriented diploma course at a recognised government polytechnic in India. The Trust says 13,490 students have received it so far.
What you get: Rs. 10,000 per year, for a maximum of three years. The Trust gives 550 such scholarships every year.
Who can apply: You must have passed SSC/HSC (Class 10 or Class 12) or an equivalent exam with more than 60% marks. You must already have admission in a government or other recognised polytechnic institute for a diploma course. Only first-year students can apply. Your family should have a low yearly income.
