Overview
The AICTE Post Graduate (PG) Scholarship is a government scholarship run by the All India Council for Technical Education. It supports full-time PG students who join AICTE-approved courses in Master of Engineering (M.E.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.) or Master of Design (M.Des.).
To be eligible you must have a valid GATE or CEED score at the time of admission, be a full-time student, and be admitted within the college's AICTE-approved intake. Foreign students, sponsored candidates, and students admitted through management quota are not eligible.
What you get: a stipend of ₹12,400 per month. The official guidelines state, "The Scholarship under the scheme is Rs. 12,400/- per month per student." It is paid for up to 24 months, or the course duration, whichever is lower. This period is not extendable.
How to apply: your institute first creates a Unique ID for you on the AICTE portal. You then log in at pgscholarship.aicte.gov.in and upload scanned copies of your GATE/CEED scorecard, Aadhaar card, an active Aadhaar-linked savings bank account, and category certificate (if any). The institute verifies and approves your application. Aadhaar is mandatory.
For the 2025-26 year, students had to apply by 15 December 2025, so that window has now closed. Always check the official AICTE page for the next cycle's notification and dates before applying.

How you're selected
Non-competitive/eligibility-based: any full-time student with a valid GATE/CEED score admitted to an AICTE-approved M.E./M.Tech./M.Des. programme within the approved intake is entitled. The institute creates a Unique ID, the student applies online, and the institute verifies and approves the candidature on the AICTE portal.
